Researcher and teacher. Works on pedagogy in non-traditional learning environments — makerspaces, museums, and the spaces in between formal classrooms.

Current research

Lenfest grant AY25/26 — a study of how learning works outside the lecture hall. Field sites include the Lylburn Downing Middle School makerspace and the W&L art museums. Collaborators: J.T. Torres (Harte Center for Teaching and Learning) and Emily Landry.
